Those individuals renting and driving the Moke are required to supply their own valid auto insurance and valid drivers license. A copy will need to be uploaded at time of booking.

Yes! The Moke is a low speed vehicel that can be driven on any road with a posted speed limit of 35 MPH or less. The Moke can NOT be driven on beaches, bike pathes, golf courses, sidewalks, or highways.   Drivers and passengers must obey all  state and local traffic laws as per any other driver on the road.

Up to 40 miles or 8 hours... this is plenty of cruising distance to easily enjoy all that Carlsbad Village and Coastal Oceanside have to offer !  While likely never needed, there is a 110V charger in your trunk should charging be needed.

The Moke seats up to 4 people (1 driver +3 passengers). Seatbelts are required at all times . Children under the age of 13 are NOT permitted to ride in the front passenger seat.  All normal car seat and seat belt requirements apply.

Please call customer service at 858.775.7104 and take a picture of the damages PRIOR to the start of your rental.  In rare incidence you can not reach us by phone, please immediately email all photos to rentals@carlsbadmokerental.com.  Evidence of the vehicles condition is required to be documented on all 4 sides before the Moke is turned and after the Moke is returned.

Yes ! We know your furbabies are your family as are ours ! A $25 pet fee will apply to your rental to ensure pet glitter is cleaned for our next Moke rental. You will find a collapsible water bowl, treats and other items to ensure your pet enjoys the most of your coastal adventure. Please note - there are no tie downs for your pet inside the vehicle.

Yes ! the vehicle allows for 4 passengers . All road regulations still apply. Please make sure you have your child in a booster seat if required by law.

We want you to enjoy the most of your rental and understand weather can be unpredictable. We are happy to honor a change date in the event of rain within 24 hours of your booking based on availability OR a future credit for any ride which is transferable within 6 months of original rental date.

Yes ! We are a local licensed small buisness and have lived in Carlsbad Village for almost 10 years. We enjoy all that Carlsbad Village and Oceanside beach have to offer. Our goal is to share an alternate unique experience to enjoy both towns !

First off we are a mom and pop shop and we are here to help make some memories. Each rental will come with a local discount to a business or restaurant that may be partnering with us for the month. (Value can vary). We do not up charge for cooperation fees etc - life is too expensive as is !
